On March 11th and 12th Grippen BMX, Endicott, NY held one of their two doubler header weekends in preparation for April’s Gold Cup. Several Overhaulers where looking to shake off the cobb webs, and itching to ride made the 4 hours trek to Grippen for a weekend of bone cold fun.
Rick Marceau going heads up against the International Man of Mystery
Saturday – Average temp a crisp 14 degrees.
Rick Marceau pulled two seconds and gave the International Man of Mystery a solid run on both. Emily Fullerton had two good classes and ripped of a second in 20”. After a tough main gate in cruiser she recovered to finish 4th. Cliff Benoit got motto’d on 20″ but pulled out all the stop and redeemed himself bye taking a first in cruiser.
The two stars of the day were the newest haulers Logan “Flash” Demerski and Steven “Steamroller” Healey. Flash pulled a 2nd on cruiser after leading most of the race and looked at home in expert class finishing with a solid 4th while riding with an older class. Steamroller Healey earned his first cruiser win and a second in expert class pushing leader harder.
Sunday – Average temp a balmy 12 degrees.
Emily Fullerton gets star of the day with a first and a second and Rick Marceau gets star of the weekend with four 2nd place finishes pushing Mike “The International Man of Mystery” Savage hard all weekend. Logan demerski saved his best race for last with an awsome 20” main.

This season is starting off well and looking forwards to the Gold Cup Qualifier in a couple of weeks.
